Our Team

Team No Comment was born in 2006, where a few of us rented a 10×10 room to work on our boxing and grappling as one of our friends was getting ready for his first MMA fight.  At that time, we were training on Sundays mornings for a couple hours, and that was it.  After a few months of training, we decided to start training 2 days a week and started to train on Fridays as well.  One night when we were coming out of the gym, there was a flyer on one of our cars about a Fight Card Entainment show at Joes on Weed coming up on June 2007, which was only a month away.
Thats when Josh Bulak made his debut for Team No Comment.  A few months after that, Julius Collins and his brother Julian Collins would team up with Josh, Anthony Hixson, and Jason Graves to win the 2007 FCE Team Championship.  We were on top of the MMA world in just over 14 months after starting MMA.  But then we lost our training facility after a disagreement with the owner.  For the next couple months we trained in Julius backyard, the basements of vacant houses or apartments that our friend owned whenever we could.  It wasn’t easy, but we made do the best we could and knew things would get better.
In April 2008, we found our new home over at 1819 S Kedzie.  From there, our team just started to grow.  First it was Guillermo Serment, then Ginger and Pedro Velasco, James Yarborough, and it just kept growing and getting stronger.  Over the next few years, Team No Comment established itself as one of the best fight teams in Chicagoland.  Numerous members of Team No Comment have went on to win Championships at both the amateur and professional level.  Now we are set to get even bigger and stronger at our new home at Hybrid Martial Arts and Fitness.
